Sophia Atkinson is a senior at West Field High School. Besides being a member of the journalism team of Longhorn News; Sophy is also the sterling scholar for the social sciences sub-category, which explains her passion and zest for life and people. Sophy loves baking, painting, politics, backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, running, playing her guitar, and spending time with the important people in her life. She is creative and loves to read. Sophy’s post high school plans include a half marathon in May, senior trips throughout the summer, a trip to Europe in the fall, then serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the following winter season.
