Phoenix Scott, a sophomore in West Field High thinks that the people are nicer than she expected, so she rated this high school as a four out of five. She likes the people, the environment and the culture of the new high school.
According to our data from some West Field kids, about 50 percent of students liked the teachers the most in this school, and the second thing people like is the new building.
Nahila Godimez, a junior in West Field High rated the school at a three out of five. She was from Fremont High and she shared some opinions of this new high school. “The school is really huge!” Over half of the students in West Field think so. That causes the hardship to move from class to class. Another factor is that West Field students don’t think they have enough freetime, including lunch time and the time between classes.
According to the data, about 38 percent of the students don’t like the lack of time the most while the second is wasting time in mentoring. Those two topics are both about time management, maybe we have to work on our time management of the school better and more effectively.
Zoe Silva, a senior in West Field High, was in Fremont High as well. She rated the school as a two out of five. She said, “The school is still not done. It takes a really long time to finish the construction of everything. Until now, there are still some holes on the ceiling. Also, the school is too huge.” Same graphic, The white piece of the pie chart which is three point four percent refers “The construction is a little annoying.” Construction and time management are the main reasons for students to not like this school.
In conclusion, some people think the new high school is better than their previous school, while some may think their previous high school is better. Most of the people who gave this new high school a low score are because of the undone construction, panicking about the construction workers or the ongoing construction, which affects the quality of studying for every student. On the other hand, the reasons for people to give high scores are the new clean environment, good teachers and nice people. There’s also something that we missed, there’s not enough data for us to track how the quality of their previous school affects how kids rate their new high school. The moods they were at, the classes they were in or how they were treated are all factors affecting their ratings.
