Have you thought about going to the theaters to see the new movie Thunderbolts*? Some people like to watch action Marvel movies, while some people don’t like action movies at all. If you are thinking about seeing the movie I definitely think you should go and see it because it is a movie that is well worth watching.
Thunderbolts* is a new Marvel movie that came out on May 22, 2025. This movie’s title is the name of a group of heroes. The name has an asterisk because it isn’t the official name for the team. In this team, it stars many amazing actors and actresses like Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Sebastian Stan. All of these famous actors and actresses have starred in other amazing Marvel movies like Black Widow. These characters are a part of the main roles and are an addition to the team Thunderbolts*. At the end of the movie, it introduces the new and official name for the team.
This movie is good for many reasons, especially its fight scenes. This movie consists of many major fight scenes scattered in the movie. These fight scenes are significant because they are scenes where the Thunderbolts* are nearly defeated. The team fights a man with so much power, and none of their strength seems to be doing anything. These scenes create so much tension and anxiety amongst the audience. This movie also has a unique end to it, making it a better movie. The ending is unique because the antagonist doesn’t get placed in jail or trouble for their actions. Instead, they get their way, and their plans don’t come to an end. In many movies, you see the antagonist get defeated and put in their place after the big fight, but this movie isn’t like that. A character in the film Valentina, despite bringing together a team of heroes to save the world, holds a dark secret that poses a threat to the city. At the end, Valentina gets away with her actions after being the cause of a catastrophe. This makes the movie different from many other movies. Another unique thing about this movie is the fact that many of the characters are former villains from other Marvel movies. Many of the members in the Thunderbolts* group are former spies or assassins who have done many bad things in the past. In this movie, the members team up and go against villains. The once villains are now heroes.
Although this is a great movie, I didn’t like some parts. One thing I didn’t like was that it was hard to warm up to characters I once hated. One in particular was John Walker. In the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, Walker is given the title “Captain America” by the government, despite the shield being given to Sam Wilson. Walker also makes several mistakes with the shield, given Captain America a bad reputation.
The Thunderbolts* is a great movie, and I recommend watching it. I rate the movie an 8/10 because of the many amazing scenes, uniqueness, and great characters. The movie has a theme that many people in the audience can relate to, making it a movie that many people like. If you are into action movies, grab some popcorn and head to the movies to see the band of misfit heroes.
