Have you thought about what you are going to do this summer? Many people don’t create a bucket list before summer and scramble to find something to do at the last minute. Creating a good summer bucket list is key to having the best summer yet.
Summer is a time to make unforgettable memories, especially with your family. First on the list: host a barbecue with your family and friends. There is nothing like gathering with the people you love and having some delicious food while also spending quality time together. Or, gather your family outside and enjoy an outdoor movie night. Grab some cozy blankets, popcorn, and some snacks to sit under the stars and enjoy the summer night. Last but not least: Set up a lemonade stand. You not only get some refreshing drinks, but you also make some money. What a win-win.
Now it’s time to make some memories with your friends. First off: hike to a nearby waterfall. This adventure creates unforgettable memories. Once you reach the waterfall, refresh yourself in the water; it’s the perfect way to cool off. Or, invite some friends and have a bonfire. Gathering around the fire, roasting some marshmallows for s’mores, telling stories, and having a good laugh is always a good way to have fun. Another solid idea is to hop in the car and drive to the Salt Flats. Ride some ATVs and race your friends. After the sun has set, watch the stars and take some epic photos.
Emma Raboin, junior, said that three things on her bucket list are “Going to the ocean, hanging out with friends, and getting great tan lines.” These are some fun and amazing things that you should add to your 2025 bucket list. She adds that her best bucket list experience from the past few summers is, “Going to a bunch of abandoned buildings.” Exploring places you’ve never seen is fun, if you don’t get caught. Raboin says something new she wants to try this summer is “Swimming with sharks.” That’s one way to spice up your summer.
Sienna Ogden, junior, said she is looking forward to “Swimming outside in my pool and sliding down my slide.” If you have a pool or have access to a pool, you should go swimming. Ogden also said that her dream vacation on her bucket list is “Kona, Hawaii. I want to swim with turtles, surf, and hike to waterfalls.” Going on vacation is another thing you should add to your bucket list. Ogden says that some of her bucket list activities include “Going to see movies, going to Gem Studio to make rings and other jewelry, and going to antique stores in Salt Lake City, Utah.” Her bucket list includes a lot of diverse activities.
If you want a good summer, create a solid bucket list. There are lots of things to do over the summer with your family and friends, like barbecue, outdoor movie, lemonade stand, hike to a waterfall, bonfire, and Salt Flats. Prepare your bucket list and fill it with adventures, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Make this summer the best of them all.
