Spring Break is just two months away. Ahead of time, some students may want to plan for their spring break vacation by finding some of the best places to go during spring break. Fortunately, here’s five of the best places to go.

First, what about going to an amusement park? If anyone wants to go to an amusement park that’s close to them, then Lagoon Amusement Park is just the right place just for them. Rabeca Fenwick, a sophomore, says that she loves to go to Lagoon because, “It’s a fun atmosphere. It has many different rides and attractions, there’s magic shows and food, and you can be there all day.” Fenwick also adds that her favorite thing to do at Lagoon is, “Rides. They are the main thing at the park and it’s so much fun to ride them over and over.” While Lagoon may not be open during the weekdays, everyone can still go to the park during the weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Second, what about going out of state? Going somewhere outside of Utah is also a great idea, too. Jillian Wuollet, a junior, said, “I probably would recommend going to any coastal areas, like Washington.” In Utah, there aren’t any coastal areas where people can go swim out into the vast ocean. Going into coastal areas can have lots of benefits for fun things, too. Wuollet also adds, “I would recommend bringing a coat because it can become rainy depending on when you go.”
Third, what about going out of the country? In all honesty, going out into other parts of the world is the most adventurous and extreme thing to do, whether that’s going to a country nearby like Canada or to a country that’s all the way to the other side of the world like Russia or Japan. Cambree Heslop, a sophomore, said that she would love to go to Japan. She said, “I love the culture, the place, I am learning the language, and I just want to go so bad.” Going to a different country that has a different cultural style than America is probably one of the best things that people could do during their break.

Fourth, what about somewhere local? Sometimes just going to a restaurant, fun complex or even just your local McDonald’s or Burger King can be fun, too. Isis Pelaez, a sophmore, says that she would most likely go over to Burger King because, “Good food, love the french fries.” Who wouldn’t want to go to their favorite fast food place during the break? There’s also places like the Rush Funplex where people can go and enjoy arcade games, laser tag, the roller skating rink, the foam pit, rock climbing, Bumper Karts and last, but not least; Go Karts.
Five, what about just a staycation in your own home? Staying at home is also great, too. Pelaez also adds, “I plan on hanging out with friends and family members for spring break.” Hanging out with friends and family while people are at their homes playing board or video games and having amazing food can also be the best way to have better connections with their loved ones. Kimberly Joseph, a junior, said, “I just recommend hanging out and chilling for the break.” Some people may also just want to relax and get some good sleep while they still can.
In conclusion, there are many things that students could do over the break from going to places like Lagoon and the Rush Funplex to going all the way out of the country and exploring the world.
